Genotype y* w*; P{Orc2-GFP.C}MG13 / CyO; Orc2γ4 / Orc21
Received Date 31 March 2009
Original Number 13
Chromosome 1; 2; 3
Comments Homozygotes seem to be viable. 05Dec2018 H.K.
Also known as DmOrc2-GFP, k43
Original Source Manfred Gossen, Max-Delbrück-Center for Molecular Medicine, Germany
Original Comments A rescue allele of an Orc2 (Origin recognition complex subunit 2) - GFP fusion allows a quite unique way of analyzing chromosome dynamics in flies. GFP was inserted in frame, coding for a C-terminal fusion of the Orc2, transgene line 13.
Balancer CyO
Genus Drosophila
Subgenus Sophophora
Species Group melanooaster
Species Subgroup melanogaster
