Original Comments | These three lines (DGRC# 109045 [original# kN08-B1], DGRC# 109046 [original# kN14-D5] and DGRC# 109047 [original# kN15-A4]) have equivalent potential to rescue the ken mutant phenotypes. kN08-B1 has a transgene insertion in the 2nd chromosome where the P{bmDelta-w}ken[ok] mutation harbors. Thus this line is useful to observe the effect of expression of the hs-ken[+] transgene on the ken mutant phenotypes. The other two lines have transgene insertions in the X and third chromosome, respectively, and therefore, are convenient for the overexpression of ken[+] under the various genetic backgrounds. |
