Original Comments | BmAaIT is the sequence encoding a scopion (Androctuounus australis) toxin specifically active to insects ("insect toxin"). The insect toxin is described in Eliahu Zoltkin et al., 2000, Biochimie 82, 869-881. T2 is the line number of the transgenic stock and has the transgene same as T1 does in a different position in chromosome 2. The T2 line is homozygous viable in the absence of Gal4. |
